Breathing Apparatus Training - Refresher

Intended for:

This course has been designed for workers who may be required to don a Breathing Apparatus in the course of their occupation or as part of an Emergency Response Team. It is also for staff who have a sound understanding and knowledge of Emergency Procedures. This course is of a high practical content. This course is a refresher to qualified operators.

Objective

The objective of this course is to give the participants an understanding of the performance capabilities of their equipment. Great emphasis is also placed on the individual’s capabilities to handle themselves in a stressful situation while wearing the equipment.

Theoretical training on particular sets
Donning start, up and operating procedures
Moving in smoke filled environments
Fire building exercise or work place exercise

Pre-requisite

Students have some previous knowledge in emergency procedures
